September 2015

September has come and gone and as I write this so has October...so I'm a little bit behind! So here is what we did in September:

We went to visit Brett and Nicole at their new house in Pennsylvania. It was great to see their awesome property and to visit with them. The kids also had fun swimming in the pool at the hotel. We are so glad that we live closer to them and hope to have lots more visits in the future!

The kids started their first day of school here in Michigan. Alora is in 3rd grade, Caleb is in 2nd grade, and Emily stared kindergarten. I think they were pretty excited (and maybe a bit nervous too) about starting school, but overall they are doing great! We are so proud of how well they have adjusted to life here in Michigan and I think they are even having fun!

Lydia is growing up and still just tries to keep up with her siblings. She keeps us laughing and smiling ever day. She loves to play in the bathroom sink and she loves pushing her baby around in the stroller. For most of the day it's just her and I and we have a lot of fun together going to the store and playing games at home.

Overall life is going well for us. Matthew started his final semester of college so he is busy working on that. His job is going well and we are continuing to learn patience living in this apartment waiting for him to be promoted!

We went to an antique car show at the Henry Ford Greenfield Village. It was so much fun!

We went in to tuck the kids in bed and found Emily sound asleep in the stuffed animal tote. I'm not sure how comfortable that really was!

She is growing up so fast!
