Hill Family: October 2013

Wow! I can't believe October is already over! I'm not sure where the time is going but it is going by so fast! Of course the first thing we do every October is celebrate a birthday! Alora turned 7 years old this year! That makes me feel pretty old! She celebrated her birthday this year by going to school! Yay! Her teacher had a balloon and a cute little stuffed dog on her desk when she got there and later I brought treats (Twinkies) to share with her class and they sang happy birthday to her and each student gave her a wish (it was really cute)! Anyway, later that night we went to Del Taco for dinner (her request) and she got to open her presents and have a cupcake. All she kept asking for was a guitar and so after all the presents were opened Daddy brought out the guitar. She was very excited! We are so grateful to have Alora in our family. She is such a talented and sweet girl and makes us proud everyday to be her parents. She loves to read, color, and her favorite candy bar is Hershey's chocolate. She is an awesome big sister and a great helper. We love you, Alora Lynn! Happy Birthday!

The rest of October was pretty uneventful. We did a lot of work on our basement (there will be a separate post for that), and just went to school and work everyday. Matt is doing great in his classes and works so hard for us. I am still working on my real estate license and will hopefully be taking the state test in the next couple months. Emily and Caleb are doing great. Caleb is learning his sight words and continues to do well in school. We did celebrate Halloween (a few times) and the kids are good until next year on candy! The weather is getting colder and we are getting ready for the Holiday season! Here's our life in pictures!
