We have been trying to get to the zoo since we've lived here, and a couple of weekends ago we finally did it! Too bad it was the hottest weekend so far! We got there and it wasn't too bad, but as you get walking around and up and down it gets HOT! It was fun to be there and see all the animals. Alora was a lot more interested in it than Caleb, but that's to be expected. We hadn't been there very long and I was trying to take some pictures when we decided to stop and get an ice cream cone. Well, we got the ice cream and then went and sat down on some rocks in the shade. I was trying to take some pictures of the kids and then saw the huge mess that Caleb was making. So I put my camera (it was still on) on the front canopy of the stroller and tried to take the ice cream away from Caleb. Well, he threw a huge fit and kicked the seat sending my camera flying to the ground. Well, that was the end. My camera (which is only a few months old) is now dead. It still works, but only sometimes. The lens doesn't focus and it jams, so you're lucky if you can even get it to turn on. Well, we weren't there much longer and decided it was just too hot and we'd seen enough for one day. It was quite the adventure and I will NEVER go to the zoo on a hot day like that again! It was just too much! So, here are the few pictures I got of us before my camera died. Enjoy!
