Our House!!

No, this isn't a joke! After 3 LONG MONTHS of being apart, the wait is almost over! I can't hardly believe it myself! This has been a very long and difficult 3 months and we still have another month to go, but hopefully it will go by fast! We have searched and waited and searched some more, trying to find a house that would be comfortable for us and after putting an offer on one that needed a lot of work and having that fall through, then putting an offer on a short sale and having that take forever, we put an offer on this house:

and after some negotiating, we are UNDER CONTRACT! Hurray! We are so very excited. This house is completely move-in ready. We don't have to do a single thing to it (unless we want to). The walls are painted nice colors, the bathrooms are updated, it's clean, all the appliances are staying, and the backyard is TERRIFIC. They are leaving behind the swingset, trampoline, and basketball hoop. So now we just have to unpack and then sit out on our deck and watch the kids play. We can't wait! It doesn't have a garage, but Matt is coming to terms with that. There are a few things we want to do to the outside (add a garage, new roof, add a third window), but those are things that don't need done right away. We just can't wait to be together as a family again. This summer has been long and difficult being apart, but we have learned a lot from this experience. Our faith has grown and our love for each other has also grown. We appreciate being together for the little things (family dinners, play time, prayers) and just can't wait to do those things together again. It's amazing how much we take for granted when we're together all the time. I know that we will always remember this experience (how could we forget it?!) and cherish the time that we have together. Buying a house this time around is so much bigger for us than just a house; it's a sweet reunion.

Thanks to everyone for your prayers and thoughts and support. Especially my mom who has let us take over her space for the past few months. We owe you big time!! We couldn't have made it through this without you all! If you are ever in Price (or Utah for that matter), look us up! We'd love to see you!

It's a gorgeous house. I remember how hard it was to be away from Dustin just when we were dating, I can't imagine what you're going through now. It will be over soon!
