Easter 2009

Well, I'm a slacker again and didn't get any pictures of our Easter activities (I know, I know!), but I still want to post and make a memory of what we did this past Easter. We celebrate the Easter bunny on Saturday so that we can have more time to remember the real meaning of Easter on Sunday, so on Saturday morning the kids woke up to their baskets OVERFLOWING with candy. They each also got a ball to play with outside. Then we did the egg hunt. Since Caleb is too little to really care and Alora barely got it, we didn't go crazy with the egg hunt. We hid about a dozen plastic eggs around the house and Alora took her basket and found them. It was really cute! She would find one and gasp and say "there's one!" or "I found the egg!" and then point. It was funny! She had a good time. Then we spent the day running errands, picking up the camp trailer, and then stocking it. That evening we went over to Matt's parents' house and had a delicious dinner with the family. It was a great day and the weather was just gorgeous! We are so grateful to have this time of year to once again remember our Savior and His life and resurrection. Having the Gospel in our lives is a great blessing and we are very blessed because of it.

I'm glad you guys had a great Easter! I think that's a really good idea to do all the Easter Bunny stuff on Saturday! Your kids are so cute and growing up so fast!
