December 2016

December was a super busy month for us! Matt started his new position with Ford this month and actually had to move down to Florida ahead of us. The kids and I stayed behind so they could finish school. We also knew that Brian and Suzanne were coming to visit over New Years so we wanted to spend time with them. We also wanted to spend at least one Christmas in our new house! Matt and I celebrated our 11 year anniversary this year. Since we spent the day apart we decided that we would make up for it by going to the Daytona 500 in February. So excited for that!

Christmas was exciting as usual. The kids were totally excited and happy with everything they got this year. They are so spoiled! We had a great visit with Brian and Suzanne over the New Year's holiday and they can say they've survived downtown Detroit!

The movers came and packed and loaded everything we own into a huge semi-truck so we spent a few days just camping out but it was fun! We are going to miss the friends we've made and our house that we just bought but we know that this move is only temporary and we will be back!

Merry Christmas to all!
Another year with the "ugly tree."

Reading with her baby doll.

More fun times with baby.

The girls decided to give up their beds to their stuffed animals and sleep on the floor.

My husband bought/had delivered these beautiful flowers to me for our anniversary. So thoughtful!

We got some snow! Enjoy it now because where we're going this stuff doesn't exist!

My cute kiddos!
For Christmas Eve  we went over to the Peterson's house and decorated sugar cookies. So much fun (and yummy, too)!

Christmas morning aftermath

There's the truck...time to move!

Camping out for a few days.

I wanted to capture the disaster/fun of moving...trash and toys combine and take over!

Our makeshift TV

So glad we could visit with these guys...and Pickles was pretty happy about it too!

They bought Alora this fun marble game.
This picture was taken New Year's Eve at midnight! I think that's the first time we've ever stayed up in our entire marriage! Woohoo!
