Where has the time gone? Life is getting so busy it's been hard to keep up on this blog! I've been catching the kids reading our blog books from previous years so that's motivated me to keep this thing going! Anyway, I will try to give the best update that I can on our crazy life! Here it goes:
September: The kids started school! Hurray! Alora is now in 4th grade, Caleb is in 3rd grade, Emily is in 1st grade and Lydia is in preschool and I'm also back in preschool (just this time as the teacher, not the student). I got a job at Meadowbank School as a 3 year old preschool teacher and Lydia gets to go with me and hang out with the 2 year olds. It's full time (Monday-Friday 9-4) so it will be pretty busy for us all but I've been wanting to get back to working for awhile and it just seems like the best fit right now! After school the kids have their activities also. Alora is taking horseback riding lessons, Emily is learning to play ice hockey, and all three are starting piano lessons. And I also have mutual for church on Tuesday nights. Super busy! It's been fun watching the kids get involved in things and seeing their personalities develop. Also at the end of September Matt had an interview with Ford Motor Company. It's the day we have been waiting for (or at least the first step towards the day we've been waiting for). We are super excited and can't wait to see where this process takes us!

October: Well of course October always starts off great for us because we get to celebrate Alora's birthday. And this year she turned 10 years old! When did I have a kid a decade old?? Anyway, for her birthday she wanted to go to Panda Express and then shopping at the mall with her sweet friend Hannah (and of course I invited her mom, Carrie). It was lots of fun! Other than that we were just busy do much of the same stuff as in September...hockey, piano, horseback riding lessons. Towards the end of the month we had a visit from my dad which was fun. We went to the pumpkin patch and then he went with Matt to the Rouge Factory tour (a Ford factory). We really enjoyed having him here! Halloween was celebrated at the ward trunk or treat and the kids really had a good time there!
