July 2016

Our summer is getting busy! Here are the highlights from July:

We celebrated the 4th of July by just staying home this year. It was a nice relaxing day together as a family and we loved it!

The biggest highlight of this month was Caleb choosing to be baptized. We waited until this month (even though he turned 8 in March) because it was more convenient for people to travel and I'm glad we did! We had so many people come to support Caleb (and us, too)! We are so grateful that he made the right choice and that so many family and friends were there to celebrate with us. We are so proud of our son and all the progress that he has made. He has had to overcome a lot in his short 8 years and we are so very proud of him and we know that the Lord has wonderful things in store for him.

We had a super fun weekend with everyone visiting us. We ate a lot of good food and had a lot of laughs! We enjoyed bowling together and just visiting with each other. It's not very often we can get everyone together so this was lots of fun! The kids, the dogs, and the adults all had a great time!

After the fun weekend with our family my mom and I loaded up and we drove the 1700 miles back to Utah to visit with family. That's right...just my mom and I, four kids, and a dog driving across the country! It was a last minute decision but so much fun! My mom and I haven't laughed that hard in a long time! We really had a good time together and the kids did great! We did have one accident when Lydia rolled off the bed in the hotel room and split her lip open (poor baby). She was pretty upset but it got us up and out of the hotel room and on the road right on time! Thanks, Lydia! I will make a separate post about our 3 week vacation and all the pictures that I took.

So here is our month of July:

Nicole, Brett, and Lucy at the bowling alley

My mom decided it would be fun to get a head injury at the bowling alley. She slipped on the lanes and fell pretty hard, hitting her head. Thank goodness she is hard-headed or else some serious damage could've been done!

Cute couple

Love these girly cousins! So fun!

Amy, Lucy, and Ezra having a good time!
