Hill Family: April 2013

April was a fun month for us! We enjoyed the warmer weather and I actually got to take a real vacation, like by myself! School has kept us busy in between the trips and vacations and I think we are all starting to look forward to summer break!

Goblin Valley- During spring break this year we went camping to Goblin Valley with some friends of ours and their two boys (Hansen Family). We had so much fun! The weather was gorgeous and it was so nice to be able to get outside and let the kids run around! We loved hiking around in the "goblins" and riding bikes around the campground. We tried going on a little hike through some rock formation, but the kids were tired and grumpy, so we didn't get very far. We love camping and really enjoyed hanging out with our friends and exploring the beautiful world around us!

San Diego- This year it will be 10 years since I graduated high school. I can't believe how fast the time has gone by! I've been married 7 years, had three kids, graduated college, and owned several homes and even more cars! Anway, to celebrate my friend Molly and I decided that we should get together and have our own reunion. I am so glad we did it that way! The formal reunion that was planned turned out to be a flop, and Molly and I had a blast being together in our old stomping grounds for a few days. My mom came and stayed with the kids for a couple of the days and then Matt was home over the weekend. I'm so glad that they were willing to be with the kiddos so I could have this vacation. It was wonderful! We visited San Diego, Coronado, the beach, and went to Temecula to see the old homestead where I lived before the parents divorced. We also went to Valley Center and visited a couple of our old teachers and saw the high school. It was fun to think back on the carefree days of high school and to think about how fast the 10 years have gone by between graduation and now! Anyway, after staying in California for a few days Molly and I drove to Utah and she stayed with us for a few days. It was so wonderful to have her here with us! She is a wonderful person and we have been friends for a long time! Thanks for being such a great hostess, Molly! Let's do it again soon!
