Our California Trip

This post is long overdue! The end of February Matt and I (that's right, just the two of us), went to California for my friend Beverley's wedding. We left early Friday morning (5am) and arrived in San Diego at about 3:00pm (utah time). We then went to dinner with my friend Molly. It was great to see her! The weather when we got there was beautiful! Then the next day it rained and rained! It was not the nice sunny weather we were hoping for, but at least it wasn't snow! The wedding was supposed to be outside, but because of the rain they moved it into the restaurant. It was a beautiful ceremony and a great day! It was so much fun to visit with Beverley and her family and meet her husband, Lewis and of course the food was delicious! That last night we were there we visited with another friend, Tabitha and then it was off to the hotel and up early the next morning!

The next day it was back on the road! We left California at about 6:00am (utah time) and didn't get home until 7:00pm! Whew, it was a really long driving day! We stopped at my sister's work to pick up girl scout cookies, then traffic in Vegas was awful because of a NASCAR race, then we stopped in St. George to visit my dad and Kathy, and then we got home. It seemed like it took forever!! We had a really fun time just being together without any kids to interrupt us! Thanks to my mom who stayed home with them for 3 days! I didn't really take any pictures of the trip because it was just mostly driving. Oh well! Next time we go down there we will definitely stay longer and do more!
