What a day...

What a busy day! We have gone nonstop this whole day, but it has been totally worth it! When we got up this morning we realized that we didn't have anything to eat (we've been out of town the whole week), so we decided to go to a local restaurant and have breakfast. It was yummy! Anyway, while we were in town we figured we should go grocery shopping and do some other errands that we had. Needless to say we left the house at about 9:00am and didn't get home until about 12:30pm. It was so crazy! Saturdays are not the days to be running around town! We didn't even have that many stops, it just took forever! Well, when we got home we were finally motivated to paint the storage cupboards that we have downstairs. I'm such a dork and forgot to take before pictures, but they were brown and hideous looking. We love having all the extra storage, but hated the way they looked, so we painted them white! Whoa! What a difference a coat of paint can make! It makes the room look so finished and bright! Along with painting the cupboards we also finished painting the staircase to the basement and cleaned out the garage! Whew! What a fun and busy day! We loving having a house that we can make our own. It's been so nice seeing all of our hard work pay off and making our house a comfortable home for us. We love it!! Well, while Matt and I were busy painting downstairs the kids were up here causing chaos. Alora managed to dump a couple of cups of water on my kitchen floor, then break the gate that I put up to keep her and Caleb out of the kitchen. Meanwhile, Caleb was in the bathroom pulling all the toilet paper off the roll and onto the floor. They also each had about 3 or 4 poopy diapers today! It was awful!! Oh well. We got the projects done that we wanted to and nobody got hurt, so what else matters? We are just grateful that they were entertained. Here is a picture of the storage cupboards downstairs.
