What a night...

Sometimes, I just don't know how we, as parents, function. We go to sleep last, are up all night, and then get up before everyone else. It's amazing we don't just pass out in the middle of the day! (Oh wait, sometimes I do!) Anyway, Saturday night was awful! We had decided on Friday night to take away the binkie. That night Alora went to bed just fine, cried for maybe 1/2 hour. Matt and I were thinking "Hey, what's the big deal? This is a breeze!" WHATEVER! The next night, awful! Alora woke up 2-3 times SCREAMING and nothing we did could make it better. Finally, we gave her the puppy, her hair bows (at her request) and then closed the door and just let her cry. It was hard, but last night it was better. She went to bed (without crying) and slept the WHOLE NIGHT binkie-free and no screaming. Hurray! Now Matt and are debating on whether or not to allow Caleb to keep his binkie because we never want to do that again! Oh well, no decision right now. We've got bigger problems: POTTY TRAINING! Wish us luck! Any tips?

I don't know how you do it with two kids!! I'm quickly learning with my one child that sleep is a coveted gem! Your kids are too cute and have grown up so much. It's fun to hear their stories.
