March has been a busy month for us! Here are the big events from the month!
First, we went to see Disney on Ice! The show was great! All the kids were into it, even Lydia! There was definitely something there for everyone and we really had a great time.
Second, we bought a house! It's 4 bedrooms, 2.5 bathrooms and about 3600
square feet (including the unfinished basement). We love it! We finally
decided that we needed to set some roots down and since Ford is where
Matt wants to further his career...I guess that will be here in
Michigan! We were able to close three weeks early, so now it's hurry up and move time! We are so excited to finally unpack all of our belongings and
to have a little more space! The kids are super excited to have their
own rooms (well, Emily and Lydia will have to share, but they get the
biggest room, so that's fair, right)? We are grateful for the time we
have spent in our little apartment and for the fresh perspective that
has given us on family and life. We are looking forward to our future
here and are excited for what it will bring! We still miss all of our
family and friends back west, but we know that this is where we need to
be and we are ready to continue on this journey, and have some fun in
the process!
Third, Caleb celebrated his 8th birthday! We are so extremely proud of our son! He has had to overcome a lot in those 8 years and we are so grateful for his strength and perseverance! Caleb has been diagnosed with autism, but that hasn't changed anything about him. He is still our fun-loving, happy boy who is absolutely obsessed with monster trucks! He has an amazing memory which definitely works to his advantage when we are in the car rocking out to music together! We are so grateful for our only son and can't imagine our life without him! Happy Birthday, Caleb!
Fourth, we celebrated Easter in our new house! Things were still a little crazy around here but we were able to find the Easter baskets and make it happen! We love all the candy and toys and fun stuff about Easter, but we also know that the true meaning is in celebrating the Resurrection of our Savior, Jesus Christ. We are so grateful for His great love and sacrifice for each one of us and we are grateful for the restored gospel of Jesus Christ here on this earth. We know that we will all have the opportunity to be resurrected someday and we feel blessed to have that knowledge in our lives.
Well, I think that about sums up our March this year! It's been busy and a little chaotic, but that's life and we are loving it! Enjoy the pics!
