We love this time of year! It's been another fun-filled month and it went by so fast! I can't believe how fast the time flies by! Anyway, here is our month of November...
We started the month with another pretty good snow storm. It always looks so beautiful...but I hate driving in it! The kids always love playing in it and I guess it is the season for these kind of storms!
Other than that, the beginning of the month was pretty quiet for us. We just got the kids to school and Matt worked and I tried to keep everything organized.
Then the craziness began on about the sixteenth of November. We decided to surprise the kids with tickets to Disney On Ice. They absolutely loved it!! They were so surprised and there was something for everybody. Unfortuanately, I couldn't take my camera so I wasn't able to get very good pictures of their reactions. I think Caleb's favorite part was Toy Story, Alora's favorite part was Beauty and the Beast and Emily's favorite part was of course any time Mickey and Minnie came out. At the end of the show they were each able to choose a souvenir from the gift shop; Alora chose a Belle doll, Caleb chose a Woody hat, and Emily chose a Minnie Mouse stuffed animal. I am so glad that we were able to surprise them and go together as a family to do something fun like that. We all had a good time!
The next day after Disney on Ice we loaded everyone up and went to Idaho Falls to visit with the family. It was Bob's 80th birthday party. We had a great time visiting with family we haven't seen for awhile and the kids always have fun playing with all the toys that the grandparents have.
The next week was Thanksgiving, my dad's birthday, and Brian's birthday. And thankfully Matt had 4 days off in a row! It was so nice having him home so much! We were able to decorate our house and put Christmas lights up. We also went to Temple Square in Salt Lake City and saw the Christmas lights. They are beautiful! The kids loved it! We were also able to visit the new Disney Store, and of course that was like heaven on earth for them! Anyway, it was great to go and show them the Temple and walk around the beautiful grounds of the temple. Caleb was especially thrilled with the water features.
We spent Thanksgiving/Dad's birthday up at Dad's house. We were there with Brian, Suzanne, Dad, all of us, and my grandparents. It was a fun time. We celebrated Dad's 57th birthday! He is getting closer to 60 everyday...it's kind of crazy to think about! Anyway, the food was delicious, the company was great and we had a fun time.
I think that about sums up our November. I am so grateful to have my family and to live in this beautiful country. I am grateful for this time of year to reflect on all that I have and to remember what is truly important. I am looking forward to a busy and fun holiday season ahead!
