After starting my Bachelor's Degree in the summer of 2003 I am thrilled and proud to announce that I have finished! Hurray! It was only 8 years in the making...but it is done! I am so grateful to have completed that goal in my life and would not have been able to do it without the support and sacrifice of my wonderful husband and children.
I began my degree after graduating high school in June of 2003. I continued until I got pregnant with Alora and then decided to put it on hold until later. I always had the desire to finish and so I went back right before I had Caleb. Well...after that we moved and weren't as close to campus and then life really got busy for us. We bought and sold our house in Idaho and moved to Price and there wasn't a way for me to complete my degree through BYU-Idaho away from campus until they created the online learning department. It was through their online degree program that I was able to finally complete my Bachelor's degree. I graduated with a Bachelor of Science in University Studies with a minor in Marriage and Family Studies.
I am the first granddaughter to graduate from college and the second child in my family to complete my degree. I am so glad that it's over! It took me about a year from the time I went back to the time I finished. And the best part is that no one in my family knew (except for my mom) so they were all very surprised and proud that I had done this with three little kids, moving and trying to buy a house! It was a lot of work, but so much fun and I am proud of myself for finishing what I started!
