Happy 4th of July 2009!

I can't believe it's already the 4th of July! It has come up so fast! We still aren't in a house, but are hoping that something will happen for us very soon. Matt was able to get off work a little early on Friday and surprise me. It was so nice! We went to a festival that they were having at the local park and had snow cones and cotton candy. It was delicious!

On Saturday we slept in (except for Caleb) and then went out to breakfast. Yummy! Next we took the short drive to Salt Lake to go to Sears (Matt had some tools to trade in). While we were there we decided to get Caleb some new shoes and of course Alora thought she needed some to. So when I turn around to get her, there she is trying on some little heels that were way too big. It was really cute! After that we went and walked around the Farmer's Market. That was fun. There was so much to see and there were tons of people there! It was crazy! Trying to find a parking spot was the hardest part! We found one close by, but it was on the opposite side of the street so we went to the light to make a u-turn and next thing we know some stupid truck had jumped the center curb and taken it! We were ticked! If we had been in a big truck we probably would've rammed him! So rude! Anyway, it was nice to walk around and the kids really enjoyed being outside and looking at everything.

That evening we had a bbq at my mom's house and then went outside to light off some fireworks. Overall it was a busy and fun day! We love being able to live in this country and have all the freedoms that we have. I know I take a lot of them for granted. We're grateful for the men and women who protect our country and those that have sacrifced their lives for us. We know that we are living in special times and are so grateful for all that we have!
