This has been a busy, but fun weekend! We started it off on Thursday by going to Price and getting Matt and bringing him home with us. That's always nice. Then Matt's cousin, Ryan, got married in the Mount Timpanogos temple on Friday. We didn't have to be there until 1:30 (the sealing was at 2) so we went over to the grooms parents' house and visited with the family. Then off to the temple we went! We left the kids with Whitney and her friend, Matt (thanks guys)!
When we got into the room we got to see a lot of family we haven't seen in awhile. It was so nice! The sealing was fantastic! It's always interesting to hear what the sealer is inspired to tell the happy couple. This particular sealer was funny and told lots of stories, but we could also feel the spirit very strong. He talked about being prepared to serve, financially and otherwise, and the importance of attending the temple. He also talked about living up to our potential and making right choices. Then he married Ryan and Janalyn. They looked so happy!
After the sealing and pictures at the temple it was time for the luncheon. On the way over we almost ran out of gas. I mean, the car actually shut off at the stop light! It was kind of scary! Anyway, we got to the luncheon (which was catered by Costa Vida, yum!) and got to visit more with family. The reception was later on that night and it was decorated so beautifully! It was a busy day and the kids had finally had enough, so we left about an hour early. It was such a fun and exciting day. We are so happy for Ryan and Janalyn and wish them the best!
The next morning it was off to Idaho for Sean's homecoming report. We had seen him the night before at the wedding reception, but were looking forward to being able to visit with him more. We ordered pizza that night and visited with Matt's parents and then went to go see our friends, the Ellsworths. It's always fun hanging out with them! And interesting, too! Let's just say, there is one less cat to terriorize their neighborhood! Anyway, we went to church the next morning, had brunch with family and friends, and then drove back to Utah! It was kind of weird being one of the relatives that had to leave early because of travel!
Overall, it was a really fast weekend, but so much fun! We loved being able to visit with so much family and friends and can't wait for the next big event to do it again!
