Our Blue Angel....

So, about a week or so ago, I put Alora to bed as usual and then stayed up to call Matt. It had been a pretty long day and I was exhausted! It was about 10 o' clock and I had just gotten off the phone with Matt when I heard Alora banging on the door. I mean she was ready to break it down! I was so tired and just irritated that she would even be awake that I was about ready to go in there and lay down the law! Then I opened the door and this is what I saw....

And do you know what she told me? She said "I need a napkin." I just started laughing! I was so tired and what she did was so awful, but asking for a napkin? That was just hilarious! So then I yell for my mom (of course, mom always know what to do in these situations) and she just starts laughing! Of course, Alora was very proud of herself. As you can see in the pictures, she even painted her toes!

So, we got her in the bathtub and scrubbed and scrubbed. Thankfully, most of it came off and she was just a light shade of blue for the next couple of days. Turns out it was mostly washable marker and not permanent (both were in her bed when we found her). Here is a picture of the water when we were done. She started to get scared when the water turned so blue and she wanted out fast! I got her out, we searched her room for any markers, crayons, pens, or pencils and once we disposed of them she was back in bed. She is now only allowed to color under adult supervision. Needless to say it was a funny and memorable experience!
