Another Summer Gone By...

Well, it's the middle of September. School has started (we would definitely know since we live right next to one), the fair is over, and Halloween decorations have started showing up in the stores. This summer has been busy for us. We bought our house in June, bought the lawn business in July, and have been trying to get things fixed up all summer long. Our kids have gotten so big and I can't believe how much Alora is talking and understanding now. Just the other day we went to Idaho Falls to do some shopping and when we turned into the Wal-Mart parking lot, Alora said "Mal mart." I guess we go there a lot! She also sings with me to the Mermaid song "Part of Your World." It is so cute! She just makes me laugh sometimes! Caleb is just growing and growing. He is starting to eat solid foods, and so far doesn't really like any of it. Oh well, we'll just keep on trying! His main mode of transportation is rolling. He will roll all over the place! It won't be long until he starts to crawl. It's fun to see our kids growing and learning, but I'm sad to see them grow up. This last summer we also took some great vacations to Oregon, Utah, and then just right here in Idaho. Overall, it has been an extremely short, busy summer and we're sad to see it leave but can't wait for the holidays and all the excitement that comes with that time of year.

Anyway, like I said we have been busy fixing up the house and this last weekend we finally fixed up the basement. We painted the walls, moved the tv and entertainment center down there and bought a couch to sit on. It has turned out so nice! We absolutely LOVE being downstairs now. I wish we had done it sooner, but better late than never! Also this last weekend Alora got her first bike! We intended to give it to her for her birthday, but who knows what the weather will be like, so we decided to give it to her a little early so she could actually ride it this year. She has loved it! With the help of Daddy, she can ride down the sidewalk. By next year hopefully she will be able to do it on her own, but for now I guess we'll have to help her. Other than that, we are just doing the usual. Hope all is well with everyone! Until next time!
